Our “Pre-Viz” services run the gamut from napkin sketches to fully rendered realistic representation of what an event should look like when the client walks in the door. Our point of view, however, is that fully rendered “photorealistic” images presented to clients often result in disappointment and/or misunderstanding during the events themselves. All too often a design rendering will include atmospherics such as fog to show beams of light that a majority of corporate event attendees will not see without running fog/smoke machines.
Another form of previsualization involves the use of a lighting console to preprogram the intended cues and looks for an event in advance. This can save significant time on site as the lighting designer/director can build the show days/weeks ahead of time. For lighting design services we recommend visiting http://scpld.com.
